Council Direction Statement
The adoption of a municipal agreement with NCDOT is a requirement to receive federal funds. The project supports the Transportation and Mobility Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan, Goal 2: Continue to expand the transportation system to provide at least one non-automobile option (walking, biking, and transit) for every neighborhood to be usable for a variety of trip purposes, and specifically project H, to continue implementation of the Town's Safe Routes to School Action Plan. The three projects have been identified in the 2021 Updated Bike Plan. (Racial Equity pocket questions were prepared for the November 2023 Town Council meetings; Climate Action pocket questions are provided as Attachment B).

INFORMATION: The Town submitted three projects for Triangle West Transportation Planning Organization (TWTPO)'s FY25 call for projects for Regional Flexible Funding (RFF) in December 2023. (For information about the selection of projects please see agenda materials from the Town Council meetings on 11/14/2023 and 11/29/2023.)
