Information

INFORMATION: During a closed session on November 29, 2023 Town Council expressed an interest in pursuing the consolidation of some of the town’s advisory boards and commissions to address efficiencies. On February 13, 2024 staff presented recommendations at the Council work session. Council directed staff to meet with commissions and boards that were being considered. Arts Committee and Recreation & Parks Commission have a similar purpose. See Attachment for meeting summary.

Fiscal and Staff Impact

FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. The consolidation is budget neutral. All funding should remain to offset projects and board needs.

Recommendation

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends consolidating the Arts Committee and Recreation & Parks Commission and adopting the new board recommended charges.
