Information
INFORMATION: During the Racial Equity Commission’s monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 25, the Commission discussed its membership structure and identified expanding the descriptions of two existing seats as a key step toward increasing diversity and strengthening recruitment. The Commission unanimously approved broadening the eligibility criteria for these seats. (see Attachment B). The commission plans to table at Carrboro Day this month and would like to have the changes approved so that they can recruit for updated positions.

Recommendation
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approving the eligibility criteria for two commission seats.
