Information

INFORMATION: During the review of the rezoning request for the Zinn property at 802, 904 Homestead and 310 Lucas Lane, staff noted that there is currently no established speed limit for Lucas Lane.  Lucas Lane extends from the boundary line separating the Zinn property and Claremont North and provides direct access to approximately 12 residences.

This change would allow placement of signs indicating and enforcing a 20 MPH speed limit.  This is consistent with the speed limit on other residential streets in the Claremont neighborhood.

Fiscal and Staff Impact

FISCAL IMPACT: There will be minor impacts associated with staff time and costs to fabricate and install signage and if necessary, enforce traffic behavior.

Recommendation

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Town Council consider the proposed amendment to the Town Code in Attachment A.
