Council Direction Statement
The annual budget and budget document are important planning and policy documents the Town produces each year, as required by state statute. In developing the FY2027 recommended budget and Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), departments aligned their budgets with Council priorities, including Race and Equity, Climate Action, the Comprehensive Plan, and other strategic initiatives.

INFORMATION: By state law, the Town Manager is required to submit a recommended budget and budget message to the Mayor and Town Council by June 1 of each year. This recommended budget is to be made available for public inspection and the Town Council is required to hold a public hearing on it prior to adoption. The FY 2027 Recommended Budget can be found on the Town's website at the following location: www.carrboronc.gov/budget.
