PURPOSE: The purpose of this item is to better explain green burial and discuss the possibility and feasibility for using it in Carrboro's two cemeteries.

INFORMATION: The attached report provides the Board with background information and items to consider surrounding green burial.
FISCAL & STAFF IMPACT: Staff and fiscal impact will be better understood after Board of Alderman's decisions on next steps. However, green burial will require more funding and staff time than currently required in Carrboro cemeteries.
RECOMMENDATION:r It is recommended that the Board of Alderman review the report and provide Town Staff on desired next steps.
