INFORMATION: Main Street Partners has submitted a CUP Minor Modification application related to plaza design in front of the Fleet Feet building at 300 East Main Street. The Board began discussing the item at its March 3, 3015 meeting, at which time they asked the applicant to consider alternative designs to what was presented. Specifically, the applicant was asked to look at options that either do not include a wall or that include an obstruction that may be seen as less of a visual obstruction between the public sidewalk and the plaza. The revised design, included as Attachment B, incorporates two steps of varying lengths to break grade and tie the plaza to the sidewalk. Additional background materials from the former meeting may be seen here:

The applicant did not submit additional written information for this meeting, but does plan to attend the meeting and discuss the options with the Board.

The Board is asked to review and consider the information, deliberate, and make a decision regarding the request. An updated resolution is included as Attachment A providing for approval of the modification, with an opportunity to choose a design from the options presented, now including stairs as an option, and / or add conditions about the design.
