Resolution to consider the Latin American Festival on August 28, 2016
PURPOSE: The purpose of this agenda item is to approve August 28, 2016 for the Latin American Festival- last date of the Summer Streets Program.

INFORMATION: June and July Summer Street Events were approved on June 14, 2016. For August, The Latin American Festival coordinated by El Centro Hispano will culminate the 2016 Summer Streets Program. The festival is being held on August 28 from 12:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. Weaver between North Greensboro and Lindsay Streets will be temporarily closed from 9:00a to 7:00p.
The Latin American Festival is a family event including folklore performances, live music, food, arts and crafts and information tables.
FISCAL & STAFF IMPACT: Public Works staff will close off and re-open streets and three off-duty officers will work the event.
RECOMMENDATION:r Staff recommends the Board adopt the resolution..
