Request to Make an Appointment to the Recreation and Parks Commission
PURPOSE: The purpose of this agenda item is for the Board of Aldermen to make appointment(s) to the Recreation and Parks Commission.

INFORMATION: The Recreation and Parks Commission currently has four expiring term seats available for appointment and one vacant seat reserved for an out-of- town resident. Ben Kittelson is the chair of the Recreation and Parks Commission and provided the chair forms for the Board’s review.
Kendra Van Pelt, Barbara Cudmore, Katherine Rosier, and Tamara Sanders have expiring terms. Only Kendra Van Pelt and Tamara Sanders submitted applications for reappointment however Barbara Cudmore contacted the Town Clerk on 3/1/2017 via telephone and stated that she does wish to be reappointed. One additional application was received from Valerie Merriweather and her address meets the requirement for the out-of-town vacant seat.

RECOMMENDATION:r It is recommended that the Mayor and Board adopt the attached resolution.
