INFORMATION: In March, Mr. Boyd Ellington resigned from his position on the Relief Fund Board. His position was one of two Board of Aldermen appointed positions. This position serves a term of two years having been re-appointed 1/1/2016. Staff published to social media and the town's newsflash of the opening on the Relief Fund Board requesting interested persons to submit a resume or letter. Two citizens in the fire district applied for consideration.

F. Wayne Lacock is the father-in-law to current Relief Fund Board member Lt. Ray Dunn and also retired Deputy Chief of Carrboro Fire-Rescue. He has been a resident of Carrboro for over 70 years. Mr. Lacock served the Country in the Army with an honorable discharge. After discharge he served the Town of Carrboro in various roles as both a volunteer and career with the Fire-Rescue Department for 33 years. He is an active member of Antioch Baptist Church and has served on several committees at Antioch Baptist Church and Damascus United Methodist Church. Mr. Lacock is a founding member and board member of the South Orange Rescue Squad.

Clarence W. Potter is the father of Driver Will Potter and has been a Carrboro resident for 23 years. Mr. Potter previously would assist the fire-rescue department by recording fire operations to later be utilized for training and incident critiques. He was active with scouts with Troop 845 at Carrboro United Methodist Church and Cub Scout Pack 811 at FPG Elementary.
