INFORMATION: At the June 6, 2018 Board of Aldermen meeting, the Board opened a public hearing to consider placing the Lloyd/Broad Overlay District on the approximately 90+ properties that comprise the Lloyd/Broad neighborhood. The draft text amendment establishing the new overlay district and its specific dimensional requirements is described in a separate agenda item (17-611). Both amendments, the text amendment establishing the overlay district and the map amendment applying the new district to the neighborhood have been developed in response to neighbor requests for changes to land use regulations. The Board could proceed with the rezoning to place the new district designation on the neighborhood, if the text amendment creating the overlay is approved

A draft rezoning ordinance describing the district and showing the area where the new standards would apply has been prepared (Attachment B). The map amendment was presented to the Planning Board on May 17th; comments are provided (Attachment C).
