INFORMATION: Working with staff of the Town, Orange County Library and Skills Development Center, and WCOM, Perkins + Will has advanced about halfway into the schematic design process.  This process continues where the earlier effort concluded in late 2018. The building program includes space for the Town’s Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Resources program, the Orange County Southern Branch Library, the Orange County Skills Development Center, a Virtual Justice Center, WCOM Radio, Teen Center, and more.

The concept development process builds on the 2018 activities, incorporating features that were derived from public input, with the principle change being the substitution of the Skills Development Center activities for the Artscenter space, and responding to the revised synergies that result from the new partnerships and opportunities between the building users.

The team is ready and excited to share a presentation on the updated program, design concepts, public meeting schedule and engagement strategies, and to receive feedback from the Town Council.
