The Council also requested that the advisory board have a youth representative and require that some members have community organizing experience. The Council also requested that this advisory board be involved in sharing and helping to replicate current neighborhood initiatives. In implementation of the Community Climate Action Plan, one of the fundamental interests for this advisory board will be to engage with neighborhoods, support distribution and encourage replication of projects, and create a shared resource on the Town's website. The Council also asked that this advisory board work to update Town climate action plans and work with staff to keep the Town on track towards emissions reduction goals. The advisory board will be able to complete these tasks when providing input on the yearly Environmental Sustainability Work Plan.
At their August 13, 2020, September 3, 2020, and October 8, 2020 meetings, the Environmental Advisory Board created a work plan to outline how the Climate Action Team could provide input in conjunction with the FY20-21 Sustainability Work Plan.
