INFORMATION: On May 25, 2021 the Town Council received the Town Manager's FY 2021-22 Recommended Budget. The recommended budget totals $71,791,657 and is comprised of the following:



To ensure that the public has access to the budget document and is aware of the public hearing, North Carolina G.S. 159-12 (a) requires the Town Clerk to have the budget document available for public inspection until the budget ordinance is adopted. The document is also available on the Town's website at
http://www.ci.carrboro.nc.us/250/Financial-Documents

The statute also requires the Town Clerk to make a copy of the budget available to all news media in the county and to publish a statement that the budget has been submitted to the governing board, and is available for public inspection. The statement must also give notice of the time and place of the budget public hearing. This notice was included in The Herald Sun news media on May 9th and 23rd, and the Town's website.

FISCAL & STAFF IMPACT: The total recommended budget for FY 2021-22 is $71.8 million comprised of the following: General Fund $25.2 million; Capital Fund $42.0 million; Special Revenue Fund $3.4 million; Stormwater Utility Enterprise Fund $971 thousand; and Parking Enterprise Fund $291 thousand. ...
