Good morning,

During emergency weather events such as those that occurred yesterday, the Town opens an Emergency Operations Center for the duration of the event.

Chapel Transit provided after hours contact information in the event a bus is needed for shelter/transportation.

OCEM has the Red Cross on standby in the event a shelter needs to be opened.

PW, Police, and Fire personnel are monitoring our areas prone to flooding and addressing issues that could be remedied (PW has been out clearing culverts.  PD and Fire have been responding to and monitoring other known usual areas of flooding).   We will continue to monitor and advise if anything changes.  Recovery after would include continued collaboration with OC EM on shelters, flood assessment, coordinate with inspectors to determine damage to homes/buildings for safety of occupants, coordination with OC EM should additional resources be needed outside of OC, etc.

Local Red Cross contact information:

Triangle Area Chapter
100 N. Peartree Lane, Raleigh, NC 27610
Phone: (919) 231-1602
Fax: (919) 231-6314

Please share with any other neighbors who might be affected and please let us know if you have further questions.

Thank you,

Julie Eckenrode, MPA

Dear David, Julie, Nate, Chief,

Please see Barbara Stenross' photos of Toms Creek neighborhood flooding.

What post rain event assistance or resources can the Town offer folks?

Sincerely,

Randee

Randee,

I hope you are doing all right vis a vis today's heavy rains.  Our house is okay, but here are a few photos of Tom's Creek between Laura 's and Tim's.  Thanks for inviting information.

Best,
Barb
